  • A nice Birthday gift.

Just received my Palio Burl cutter from my youngest son. I must say although I cant compare to others, it feels and looks a quality piece of kit. Also for good measure he purchased a RyJ Exibicion no4 for me, any good? He said he did'nt have a clue what cigar to get!

My smoking kit is nearly there. All I need now is a jet lighter.

    Any recommendations?

You really can't go wrong with a palio...now you just need a nice dupont maxi jet and you will be complete!

Thanks for the link Jacob but I was not looking to spend anywhere near that amount of money on a lighter. Upto ?30 if anybody has any recommendations.

Depends where you smoke mostly, I've found after numerous failures (Mostly Colibri) that a ?10 creme brule burner from ADSA has by a country mile been the best lighter. Obviously you can't (well you can lol) comfortably carry it around if you smoke at pubs etc. I've found Xikar have been great, I recently bought the crossover (looks like a lemon drizzle cake, awesome!) and it's been great. Xikar also come with a lifetime guarentee and free carry sheath. From my experience I would never get another Colibri, they look nice but again in my experience, die after a few months.

Aye....the cr?me br?l?e lighter is a great idea and it holds loads of gas. I had one for years but knackered it a wee shile ago. Time to replace it methinks
