Hi everyone, today I ordered my first humidor, a 150 capacity box with three drawers and dividers. I have a few cohibas, montes and partagas tuned cigars that I will put in as soon as I get it working steadily but I need to get to work filling it. I'm thinking of buying 12 Trinidad reyes, 25 Bolivar petit coronas and 10 Cuaba solemones (not sure about those spellings but I think you will know what I mean). Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should buy to give me a good selection of different cigars to try as I'm about as new to this as anyone could be. I was also thinking of getting a box of H Upmans magnum 46's after Christmas. Thanks in anticipation of your views and help on this topic.

Partagas short are always a good short smoke to have, the Bolivar PC can be a bit strong when young so maybe some Bolivar No.2 would be better. Also so Romeo y Julieta, I had my first RyJ the other day and need to buy some more! I would recommend that short churchil or number 3 or 2. Trini Reyes are always good. Hope that was of some help, also Ramon Allones Small Club Corona, brilliant sweet little stickA cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

Two brilliant cigars. I don't often buy full boxes, but those two are in my humidor too.Originally posted by Alexw33 View PostI'm thinking of buying 12 Trinidad reyes, 25 Bolivar petit coronas
Also get hold of a few Trinidad Robusto Extra while you can! They are on the 2011 to be discountinued list, and are not to be missed!

All of the above, Monte Petit Edmundos are a cracking smoke, like others have said get yerself a box of Bolivar GMs while you can, i'd also go for a box of Fonseca No1's for when you just fancy a mellow smoke and a mazo of JLP's for mowing the lawn etc
Me wants some Trini's, no idea why i've never bought any?!?!
Sent from my Ouija Board.

Oh Yeti! No trinis!! Seriously needs to be rectified, Reyes or coloniales are a must have in my book (or meaning both in reality). Also to the op, I can't recommend the hoyo de monterrey petit robustos highly enough, just the perfect short smoke for me and seemingly quite a few others on here, great for newbies and aficionado's alike! Boli pc can be a bit of a beast BTW...

Thanks for the ideas everyone, I've got a lot to go on there might take me a bit of time to try them all. I'm trying to get a decent range of sizes and strengths so I can choose a stick depending on the time I have and my mood. What are some good cubans (if there are any) to smoke fairly young? I would like some to smoke in tge summer in about 6 months when I can relax in the garden while I leave some others to rest for a while longer.
