Sometimes i get a cigar that bursts or cracks...i'm not sure why this happens
Am i storing them at the wrong temp humidity??
Any help much appreciated thank you.
What humidity are you getting your hygro? Is it digital?
If humidity is too low, the wrapper will get brittle and crack. If over-humidified, the leaves swell up and crack or split the wrapper...
I get 70 humidity, however this is not digital, also some sticks, monte no4 are hard as if they are tightly rolled, but there not dry, how do i get these to ease up?
If they're tightly rolled there's not much you can do. There's s device called a Draw Poker which you poke through the entire stick it's a bit hit or miss
Ditch the hygro and get a digital one. Those analogue ones are purely for looks IMO
The San Cristobal El Principe i had today started to crack halfway down. I didn't let it bother me and just let it happen and still enjoyed it. Only in extreme cases with really bad cracking does it really affect the experience.
