  • Age...

I was taking a look through the CGars.Ltd auction pages (I can only wish) and it got me wondering what's the oldest cigar anyone has in thier Humi on here. Was it one you brought already aged or one you have sat on all these years.

Mines roughly 40 days... (I'm new to this ok).

Can I just ask how you know how old it was when you bought it? I'm sure it would be at least 6 months old or so when you bought it? And I have a Siglo II from '07. Not really got any aged smokes just got lucky on a single I bought that it was old
A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

I have a couple of Bolivar Inmensas from 1999, and a few sticks from the early 00s.

The oldest stick at the mo is a Sancho Panza Belicosos. I did have an RYJ Romeo #2 from the 70s (a big thanks to CA!) which was smoked not that long ago.

A fair point James... I guess if i/you/we buy singles which are not from a specific year then there is no way of knowing how old it is. Having never bought a box (still trying to water to find what I like) do they stamp the date on it?

Yes box dates are stamped on them but if u buy singles you can always ask the vendor for the box code decent ones will tell you

                Mine is an ryl '98

I've got a few I bought in an aged sampler on here a while back. A couple were from the 1950s and a couple from the 1960s (according to my records). I've smoked one of those from the 1950s and while interesting to see how age affects them, I still think I prefer those around 5 years old!

Oldest stick for me is a Cuban Davidoff Laguito No1, bought for me as a present when on the Cuban Cigar Walk.

I have 2 boxes of german cigars with swastika embossed labels which I'm guessing makes them from the late 30's early 40's

Bloody hell!! I read the sentence over just the top of the first pic and I was so expecting it to be a joke but that is very impressive seriousness! wow

At least they don't have swastika bands on them so you can still get away with smoking them in public.
