Thanks very much for the help chaps, I must say this is probably the friendliest forum I've ever been on!

My next smoke will be on my stag night, so I will probably end up sick anyway!

Then I'm planning a nice little smoke with my best man at a BBQ restaurant on the side of a mountain in Cyprus, so I best be careful as I have to drive back down afterwards!

A teaspoon of sugar under your tongue will sort the nicotine issue out in 10 minutes or so.
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)

It can happen if you have an empty stomach. I once had a RyJ Wide Churchill in the morning on a completely empty stomach, LOL. Lost like three hours sleeping it off on the sofa. I also find it can depend on the cigar. I had a Camacho Corojo on a good stomach worth of food, and despite feeling absolutely fine while really enjoying the cigar, felt totally awful afterwards. Went to bed feeling like my muscles were all full of lactic acid.

I had the same with a Short Churchill before, I think I was enjoying it a bit too much...

I'm guessing that the "sickness" is something to do with nicotine's effect on the nervous system. It makes me all light-headed and giddy, but I've not had one make me go green in the gills. I'll have a nosey around and see what I can find out about it.

And don't make the mistake of tearing up your cigar butts and sprinkling them around your roses thinking "Hey,these will be great as a mulch"...........cos it'll kill 'em!!

I have now taken to having 2 cigars a day, hey presto, no more problem, must have been something to do with lack of conditioning.
