  • PSDN4 Bands?

Did Partagas make some modifications to their bands on the PSDN4 at some point in the last few years?

I've know idea why I hadn't noticed previously although it's not glaringly obvious, but some are slightly orangey (the others deeper and more burgundy), and there's a small difference in font size. The orangey one seems slightly fatter in RG too?

Can try and post a pic, although to he honest, the camera doesn't really pick up the differences too well. I just seem to recall somebody posting about it in the past..??

Not a big D4 smoker tbh Dave but I haven't heard of any changes. Is your source reliable? I can't think of any reason for a change but Cuba being Cuba, anything us possible I suppose lol

I know there have been numerous discussions on various forums since about '10 about discrepancies about dots between letters, but I'm unsure about font size. From memory, The dot issue did not equate to fake, so it is not inconceivable that font and colour variations are within tolerances. They are, after all, printed in Cuba (hopefully)

Someone else will no doubt chip in on this.

Agree with the other two on bands they vary slightly depending on batch, what would have me worried is the RG.

Try some pictures in daylight, it may help.

I have also heard lots of discussions regarding variations on the d4 bands.

As long as you are happy with the source i wouldn't worry.

Cheers all...the pic really doesn't help but the top is the orange with larger font...the print is to one edge of the band too; these came from a shop in Cayo Coco and if fakes, tasted bloomin gorgeous!

The bottom ones are LCdH so no problem there..

But I suspect you're right....just normal variation with Cuban QC and different factories on popular stick!
