Thisquestion is definitely an age-old one. The true advantage to a punchover a cutter is that it is less destructive and like another postersaid, you can always punch more, but if you cut too much, no goingback. Cutters can sometimes be overused and the leaf wrappings cancome loose, spoiling your nice draw. On the other hand punches aregood on gauges over 40 that are rounded, but not great on torpedo orfigurado cigars. I suggest using the punch first and then open with acutter if need be.

Or as me pappy, Pappy Coro would say..."Punch first, ask questions....doh Coro would say..."Punch first, ask questions....doh , I mean, CUT LATER!" , I mean, CUT LATER!"

He sometimes had trouble distinguishing between Punching and Shooting!

Names Jay, Ray Jay, and Pappy Jay, Ray Jay, and Pappy Coro really did say those things.
