  • Reverse tasting....

A strange thing is happening with Cigars for me....

From my very few previous posts you may read I had trouble picking out Flavours, tastes etc...

What I have recently noticed is that although this has not improved, I am beginning to reverse taste things - For example....

Christmas Day - Partagas P2, I couldnt find any flavours to speak of - However, later I had a mince pie or two and as a ate it, I said...Mmmm Partagas P2 in this...

Boxing Day - Boilvar Tubo, I found it a great Cigar...But couldnt find flavours...A little later I had a cappuchino caramel affair with a lot of cream....Mmmmm it tasted of Bolivar..

I know this is unusual, but it is happening!

              What's next? Sancho Panza Belicoso?
And when you take a first breathe of smokeless air 1 min after the cigar goes out, you get overwhelmed with what the air tastes like comparerd to the SP

Strange mate could be subconsciously picking flavours out and not clicking on till something else tastes like it

I quite often read online reviews when I'm smoking and it helps to identify flavours I can't quite identify. I will be avoiding the one in CA described as asparagus and dried citrus peel!

I cant say av tasted a cigar tasting like asparagus. Strange flavour profile that to pick up on. Seen a good video on you tube by the la aurora boss talking about flavour profiles

So today we learned that Cameroon is the most expensive wrapper in the world. I am looking forward to the little Oliva Cameroon that VTG gave me even more now.
