I am planning a bit of a fill up as a gift to my self after two months of almost constant work. I have a rough line up some to try and some to restock.

RyJ Short Churchill x 10 box - really like these nice easy smoke.

RyJ Cedros no .2 x 1 - tried the no .1 and liked it.

Trinidad Reyes x 12 box - alway good to have a few at the ready.

Fonseca Cosacos x 5 - enjoyed the one I tried so thought I would keep a few for options.

Monti no .2 x 5 - want to try more Montis and this seems a good place to start.

HDM Short Piramides x 3 - topping up.

HDM Du Depute x 1 - interested to try more HDM.

Punch Punch x 1 - I know nothing about punch but want to try their output.

Nub Cameroon 358 x 2 - love the look of the nubs and I feel I should give some NC a try.

Let me know your thoughts or recommendations.

That sounds like a great selection, big +1 for the Monte No.2 though don't forget the Dip No.2.

I liked the cedros no.1 but it was very mild and I don't know if its worth the extra cost in comparison to say a regular RyJ no.1. Hope the no.2 has more about it.

Looks like a good mix to me. Some classics, some under-rated and sizes / strengths to suit all times of day.

As far as I am concerned the Punch Punch is one of the absolute classics. A great size from the days when the 42 gauge was King. Historically Punch was a major brand in the UK market - partly because it suits the British taste and I don't think that will have changed too much down the years (whenever I write things like that I always feel about 110 - not a word PeeJay)
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

Just got turned onto upmann Con No1 very under dated and the upmann 1/2 corona packed full of flavour.

Two of my currents favs. Not on your list but worth a looksie.

personally, i find the h upmann no.2 the best of this lot, followed a close second by the dippy 2!! monte 2's can be great....... however they are pretty inconsistent!! h upmann connie 1's are one of the best cuban cigars out there IMO........ i've had more of them than any (going through my 5 box in like 2 years, lol)!!

anyway, great selection there mate, best of health to enjoy 'em!!

I really want to try an Upmann No.2, I love the Dip 2 and Monte 2 and I would like to compare it against them given that they are the perfect size as an event cigar for me.

Saying all that though, your not the first to speak so highly of the Connie 1.... Sounds like a must try!

I think you should go with what you like. But I would agree with Alex, the HU Connie 1 is far superior to the RyJ SC. The Cosacos looks nice, but IMO are not a good cigar, 3 x ERdM Demi Tasse and 2 x HdM du Marie (get 2013s) will provide a better smoking experience. I've nothing against Monte 2s, but get 3 and one each of Monte Especiales No 2 and Monte Tubos and they will put you well onto the Monte road. NUBs can be really nice, I find the Torps easier to deal with.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
