  • Struggling with Humidity cause for concern ?

Currently struggling with humidity in in my Cool box humidor I have two guages in there both reading 73 and 76 respectively. My actual humidor is being shipped back to the UK which I never had a problem with aside from being two small so I know the gauges are spot on. Currently in my box I have roughly 20 Monte Cristo 2, 15 Partagas D 4s 20 or so Hoyo Petit Robusta 10 Siglo 2s and about 5 or 6 other odds and sods. I am using the same humifier as I had in my wooden humi which was stable at 70/71 but for some reason its reading alot higher. The box is totally air tight ( possible problem? ) and I keep it out the sun to keep the temp down but the temp as well is running a little hot at 72 which never used to happen.

Is this just the plastic nature of the box? Do I need to worry they are likely only to be in it for another 2 weeks or so. I would get the beads but I cant find them here in Geneva for some reason even though we have a tonne of cigar shops.

Fairly new to cigars so would like to try and avoid any expensive mistakes so all input gratefully received.

    Thanks

Take the humidifyer out asap. All it is doing is adding more water to the air. Then crack it open a little.

Sounds like a plan, I use a cool box too but as I use Boveda they regulate by sucking up the excess. Definitely try drying the humidifier slightly.
