  • Siglio VI cheaper alternative?

Hey bro's, as you may of gathered I love my Sig 6's! The problem is that they came to me for nothing, they're already aged and I'm getting through them faster than I hoped! Thinking ahead I'd need to buy like 10 cabs to lay down if I want to keep smoking them at current levels which needless to say is not happening. What I'd like to know is what can I buy of similar size and profile for less money that will smoke well now or age too? I particularly like the spicy but mild flavour of the sig 6 as well as its ability to burn perfectly every time. I'm aware that something has to give if I'm spending less but that's to be expected. I'm sure there's a similar size and quality smoke out there for me for a lot less money so come on guys, clue me in. What's the alternative? I'm not after a budget smoke, it has to deliver close to the sig but be less expensive.

Nothing will be the same. The Sig VI when it is on is one of the greats. Similar size is the Mag 50, current production is supposed to be good.

I'm a huge fan of the Siglo VI too, but cannot afford to smoke them regularly.

Hence they have become a special smoke for me, I've just bought a cab and intend to lay them down for as long as possible.

When I crave a VI I'll go for maybe a Trini Robusto or Hoyo Epicure 2, Mag 50 or SDN4 ..... anything to stop me from cracking the box open too early!

What's the minimum age on a Siglo VI you'd recommend, for max potential?

          Cheers,

The best ones I've tried have had 7 years on.

Find an old Vegueros Esp 2 single .... see what you think.
If you want to, you can.

Thanks chaps, I think mine must have a good few years on them, they're exquisite. What I'll do is get two of each of the recommended ones and try to gauge it from them now and in six months then get some boxes based on that. I appreciate the help.

Size wise, Monte 2, Dip 2, Partagas P2.... all favourites of mine, probably my second favourite vitola.
For the price you could try all three and see what you think.

Epi 2 price is spot on what I was hoping for a 50 cab.

As is the mag 50 on a 25. Both look good to keep me away from the good stuff!
