Travelling with cigars? question

Hi all,

I may have someone bringing over some cigars from Spain for me.

What is the max time advisable for transit without any form of controlled humidity/heat?

I wouldn't worry .... even if he's walking it they'll still be OK.

wrap them up in cling film a few times or double ziploc bag be good for a while (3-4 weeks) as long as they were good when bought.

Makes you wonder how cigars managed to get across the Atlantic back in the days of sail .... without humidification or refrigeration .... and still be desirable cigars.

Would that not be before they realised that humidification was good for them?
