Cigar of month clubs?

Love the idea, part of me would want it to be sent out un banded and it's identity only revealed once everyone had smoked.

That would be interesting, especially for the more experienced palettes who could play guess the smoke

Could have a two-speed system... Those that opt-in to a blind version can have them unbanded, whilst those who are either less experienced, or just not too keen to play guess the cigar, could have them arrive fully banded and with a list of the contents?

Or a second tier who pay to have the labels sent subsequently for the cost of an envelope and stamp

For me the cost per stick also sets how many months ahead the pack should be.

Yep, definitely need to have a price limit that people are happy with. Perhaps put together quarterly packs? Three cigars, one for each month. With a ?40-?50 maximum including postage?

That works for me, as its enough to get intresting stuff which could become regular, rather than a selection of smokes which are always going to be special occasions only.

I know this involves more work for the organiser and it's just thinking out loud but for the people that want to play blind but want the bands maybe have them sent in a separate sealed envelope inside of the cigar package so once it's over they have them anyway.

So, how many players do we have? Also we need a price limit, may I suggest that if for example we set it at ?10 say and the cigar cost ?8, that the ?2 rolls over and so on and so forth until say 12 months down the line each player would be ?22 in credit which would mean at that point we could get an extra and more expensive bonus cigar?
