HDM would be a good choice as would RyJ.

        Hiya and welcome!
You could go for an erdm cs - gorgeous sticks imho.
Or maybe something like an Arturo Fuente Short story?

I find Alex Bradley's stronger than advertised. Rocky Patel, CAO, Oliva and 5 Vegas are better NC brands over all IMO.

CC wise the world is your oyster, even the full bodied Bolivar and Partagas sticks I have had are less inclined to give me that 'Green' feeling than strong NC's.

I saved my Alec Bradley tempus for a real real hard and bad day. Damn I enjoyed it. Save the strong ones for when you really need a good stiff one!

I fell into the trap of thinking that mild cigars were milder too and I don't think it is the case. I smoked a mild Fonseca No.1 a few days ago and smoking all of it, it seemed pretty strong overall. Flavour wise it was mild. I've had some full strength cigars that seemed pretty medium to me but were full flavour.

I think it is more important how you smoke them and what you have them with. Sweet drinks help with strength as does some chocolate or sweets. Smoking more slowly, and I think doing something strenuous that gets your heart pumping beforehand helps to. For me if I smoke after a heavy meal or whilst totally chilled, the strength hits me harder. Aged sticks can be surprising as well, being far milder than you would expect.

My advice as another relative newbie is don't avoid medium/full strength sticks but maybe smoke some smaller/slimmer cigars instead to build up your tolerance and so you can get to know how to manage the strength when it starts to get a bit much and don't be afraid to put something down early if you do start feeling off. You don't have to smoke all of it.

              Whatever you do; enjoy it!

Also never smoke on an empty stomach, if you feel woosy try a piece of dark chocolate or a glass of Coke.
sorry Andy ive repeated part of your postl

Ive only ever had one Montecristo Open Junior.
I was surprised at how nice it was. Mine had rich monty flavour and bouquet,
it was very mild and easy to smoke. A great newbie cigar imo

FYI, it was from a box, not a tube.

Chocolate is also good to have on standby when smoking. I find the sugar helps with the nicotine hit!

I'd have to agree on all fronts although I haven't had any 5 Vegas. All these NC brands have produces stuff that I e enjoyed. As for Cubans, I'd deffo agree with Pandi on the HdM and would add that most of the Cohiba I've had are pretty mild smokes.

The BHK 54 I had yesterday was mild enough and easy enough for any noob.
And the 52 is the same, just to add.

If you can source some CAO gold's they are lovely and smooth and dont pack that hit that you experienced with AB
