Is there any truth behind cigars that are sold in tubes have a strip of cedar to stop the weevils
heard it said a few times before from different tobacconists.
Anyone else heard of this before.

The cedar is there just to aid in humidity regulation and a cushion against being knocked about.

Neither have i but just took their word for it
but lately kept playing on my mind so thought i put a post up to see what members say.

The weevils would eat the wood too, don't know about tobacco beetles though

That is because they had concrete in their base ...as i discovered with a hammer when i was 5 years old
