Smoking with the temperature change...

The whole 'bad weather stops play' thing is a bit of an unwelcome development. Hadn't really thought about it until now. It will be the shed for me this year but ever hopeful of something more suitable next winter.

We've just had a deck built. I suggested we might want another tier and, 'hmm, a summer house would be a good idea, no?' My wife quickly asked if I was looking for somewhere to smoke cigars in bad weather. Tried to look innocent and surprised, and replied 'gosh, what a great idea. Never thought of that.' Don't think she was convinced, but the project hasn't been canned [emoji4]

So, 'site acquired for development' ....

.... and hoping for enough work so I can save up to build South Wales's newest herf shack, sorry, family summer house, in Spring next year. Design ideas and suggestions very welcome ....

Does anyone else just smoke indoors? I dont have too many visitors and my partners friends all smoke so its not really an issue. I do have the windows open though.

i smoke in my living room. I have the place to myself these days so I do as I please. I have to say it is much nicer to smoke in the comfort of my home than anywhere else.

Tiny one room flat, separate bedroom and bath then everything else in one room which I like to refer to at times as the smoking room! Cigar smoke and the smell of it doesn't seem to linger for weeks like cigarette smoke so I smoke indoors.

My missus fell in love with the guy who built the deck (seriously - I hear more about Mat the landscaper than my wife ever hears about cigars!!) otherwise I'd be sending you the drawings!

But the mild weather is due to last. I go to my local for a pint and they will put heaters on for me, no problem.
I can smoke indoors but prefer not to...

It is nicer to smoke outdoors. I dont like breathing it in in between puffs like you tend to do indoors. Sticking a fan on and opening the windows helps a lot though. And its a lot better than shivering outside!

Perhaps you should Google those little heaters you make with tealights and plant pots

Lol that will not touch the sides in Aberdeen. Wood burner is a good option. Other than that it's a gas heater with some ventilation

Gas heater looks a good option but might just go with long outdoor extension and heater I procured from work. Might even get a worklight in there too.

I am 3 weeks nights one week days, a mid week smoke when I am on days would go down a treat.
I am not one for drinking on a school night but got some decent coffees to go with a cigar.
Flat is tiny but got 2 reclining chairs and an open fire plus you get 2 hrs free parking on Morrisons round the corner.
Just let me know

I'd have to bury the cable etc would be a bit of a chore...maybe if I get the go ahead for a new shed I'll get it powered up.

If u need i can get you a reel of conduit we use to bury our cables in and just pay for the postage mate its quite tough as well
