As I never have a smoke on an empty stomach I was wondering are there certain cigars that suit after you have had food - eg are there cigars best suited to smoke if you have had spicy food or fish. We all know you can match wine to food but can you match cigars??

Save the heavy stuff for after a good meal and smoke the lighter ones when you're not so full, or for breakfast. Experience will teach you what you can stomach not anyone on here because we are all different. I'm a lightweight but some of the guys can do four or five cigars in a sitting.'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

I suppose it's like having a pint of beer and enjoying it or having 5 pints and be all over the place.Originally posted by PeeJay View PostSave the heavy stuff for after a good meal and smoke the lighter ones when you're not so full, or for breakfast. I have to be a bit careful with the chocolate as I have diabetes so would taking chocolate with a high cocoa content do the trick rather than milk chocolate ?Originally posted by Wigan View PostSweet, strong coffee for me plus a yorkie. Can break off the chunks and suck one as required. Adds to the flavour of the cigar as well I think

It does indeed, experiment with different chocolate and you'll be surprised at the effect.
