I think now I would always take a recommendation from someone in the forum over a review because we tend to be on the same wavelength

Re using the punch on larger rings, you can always multi punch like TJ says, but another variation is the club cut: think ace of spades

Everybody has an opinion on this or that and many go to the trouble of posting their opinions on the interwebs. Over time and as you gain experience, you'll learn how to decipher other folks reviews - whatever medium they use - from those with similar tastes as yours and those that don't share your taste.

I like to look at as many reviews as possible before buying a new puro or one that I haven't enjoyed in a while. But before I "trust" a particular reviewer, I look at their past reviews of puros that I'm already familiar with. If their reviews reflect my opinion of the same sticks, I tend to "trust" their reviews of those puros I'm not as familiar with.

              That's what I do, anyway!

In that case then i'll ask this question to owners of xikar cutters that also have a palio cutter in their possesion which of the 2 performs better
i have the palio cutter myself which i can't fault but can't compare it agains't the xikar1.

                                ah, err, umm,

AhaWith some dexterity though, I can craft a whole deck of cards at the head of Cuba's slimmest puro. I forgot to mention that.

However, it's good to see that someone's awake and of course, you're right, it is indeed the Ace of clubs. I tried to cut with a spade once and flattened the fuck out of my Monte mini
