GH, unless one's a member over there, you can't access the pictures. Perhaps it's better form, rather than dead linking the pics, to copy some over, but clearly referencing or citing your source and then running with them? Just a suggestion

Re the cedar block, I've one or two kicking about from old boxes. They were, on occasions, put in to make up the space. People have no doubt had boxes where there is a square section piece of cardboard tube in a bottom layer? Well the cedar block is just that. I'll try and dig one out and back track it to a box. It may, just may, have been a D4 box from '06. Can't be sure though."Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

Good idea chris! I was thinking about digging out an old pen making kit and my granddad lathe and making a Spanish cedar pen....... There's a pretty nice BOTL who likes to write a lot of things down apparently!
