There should be only be barley noticable difference in RG i.e. with a pair of calipers you could find a difference. If it noticeable then they are 99% fakes.
The maduro have had some toothy wrappers and some poor QC in the past, but not differning RG. As always though it comes down to trust your vendor, If you bought from a LCDH (excluding two famous examples) then they are legit if bought of ebay they are fake
Mo, the Secretos are one of my favourites so I'd be willing to try one for you, although I'll be honest and say that I haven't smoked one with more than a couple of years on it so these, if anything, should be better than those that I've tried.

I can't believe you have King Edwards TJ
Well, it was part of the first UKCF Secret Santa (and my last). When my SS FAILED to deliver the goods, se?or serious stepped up and attempted to cover for the one-who's-name-is-unknown, by sending the King Edwards. But the most interesting part of this was that the 5-pack was missing two sticks when it arrived.
What do you think that means?
Perro, el Perro
sigpicVaya con Dios, Amigos! - don TJ and the Coros

I daren't think! Perhaps he gave them to his postman for a Christmas box. It would appear that the Secret Santa problem is still a problem sadly. Unknown-1.jpeg
Not having had any personally, I'd say the bands seem to look as good as any I've seen on the 'net Mo. I'm sure others, with some experience will chip in at some point. What are the box, papers etc like?
+1 on that.
Going from your pictures the bands are consistent with any Cohiba I've smoked, which have all been purchased from a LCDH. The bands don't always meet up 100% perfectly at the join on the back and yours don't look any different. If I had to guess I'd say they were real but I'd be happy to make further investigations and smoke one for you! Here's the back of a Siglo II which I just popped out of the humi for you to see.
Serious post for once. If I can make Rascal agree with me, then I can die a happy man.
Spots that they're fake:
Bands
- No embossing on the band,
- Colour of Cohiba and the yellow is off compared to the black (not just from the lighting),
- Slight inconsistencies from the dots to the sides.
All in all, these are one of the better Cohiba fake bands I've seen. But still not enough to fool me!
Feet
- Worst rolling I've ever seen,
- Bunched up trios of tobacco inconsistently put within the cigar - looks like a failed entubados roll,
- One is too tight, one is too loose, mostly all of them have an organisation to it,
Caveat - Unfortunately, due to the inconsistency of Cohibas [let alone maduro 5s], the foot can't be a sure-tell anymore. If they were Lanceros, 1492 lines, or Robustos, these feet would be deplorable. But that's what would make them good for a modern Maduro 5.
By the band alone, I wouldn't buy these cigars. They say Cohiba Maduro 5!!
But seriously: the bands are shady. It doesn't sheen like the other ones should.
