I have referred to things as a maduro shade before but I just go the same as the natives and say dark normally but I might beOriginally posted by Wigan View PostOK but the question hasn't been answered. The wrapper is black as any Maduro I have had.
If it isn't Maduro then what is it or do you not know?

Really? Are you actually surprised that they would dye their cigars??Originally posted by PeeJay View PostI'm quite surprised that Rocky Patel would dye theirs.
With what Rocky Patel has tasted like?
I remember a mate of mine taking the tour 3 odd years back and seeing the giant vats of natural dyes. They don't show that part of the tour anymore

Been away having a slow and carful read of that article.
I don't think I have had a proper maduro cigar.
I have had various cheap cigars made to look Maduro by artificial means and I have had cigars that just happened to be a bit darker and I have mistakenly assumed are Maduro but a proper black, oily, smooth, rich tasting cigar that has gone through the Maduro process properly as described in the article? I am pretty sure I aint done it...yet.
So guys where do we go from here? Who has or can recommend or want to set up a split on some top notch Maduro?
