Mould

I keep coming across the word mould. From what I gather it's a problem above 75 deg F or 24 deg C in new money. For at least three outta the four seasons we're gonna be ok unless we have the humi next to a radiator or something, but what about summer?

Am I just overthinking things or is temp a problem in the UK?

Mould can be caused by excessive humidity rather than temperature. You might be thinking of beetles. Tubos are quite prone to it as harder for retailer to check and they are there own little environment inside that tube so the humidity can climb up quick inside. Also could be thinking as temperature climbs so would the humidity but if your using a 2 way device like heartfelt beads or boveda it should not climb too much. Mold is also naturally occurring and can just sometimes appear. I had one custom roll that every 6 months developed a tiny mold spot for 3 years till I smoked it, Every time I wiped it off, it just came back.

So I'm gonna assume that my mould fears are unfounded and that people's humidors aren't being overcome by the stuff here in the UK.

As said I wouldn't worry about it. If it appears brush it off. Just keep an eye on anything in a sealed container as in my experience this increases the risk.
