For me it was a Winston Churchill No 10 from Davidoff. Not had many smokes this year so this one sticks in the mind.

Immaculately built, smooth, sweet and creamy creamy and for ?11.99 great value for what it was!

Happy Christmas all!

Hmm for me I'd most likely say the Mag 50. Or the Party Lusis. Both are currently spectacular, IMO.

RA Super Alonnes or RA 2008 Belux for me. I'd say party Lusitanis too actually. Sod it there are too many awesome cigars.

Your cigar of 2015

I didn't have a cigar that really stands out this year, but I have a box of Party Lusi's and another of BBFs that have constantly been excellent. In terms of releases I think the RA 225 has tremendous potential but isn't there yet, just wish I could justify a box!

Hi guys,
Just thought I'd update you on my whereabouts. Sorry I haven't been around for a good 6 months or so now, I must have not seen any messages as I didn't realise that many friends on here were interested to see where/how I was, so yep I'm very sorry for not keeping you updated, especially to Simon Bolivar who gave me a great bomb last year and I promised him I'd review the sticks he gave me which I certainly will do as they are great cigars!!

But yes as someone mentioned I have been hard studying and adapting to life up in Nottingham, exams are in full flow (I have one tomorrow morning as it happens) but I'll certainly be around on here to see how the UK cigar world is doing!
The reason for my absence is literally down to the fact that I found that cigars taste much worse over the winter for some reason. Whether it's to do with the temperature, lack of heat, different company etc I have no idea but I certainly found I wasn't enjoying them as much. However now Summer is round the corner I have found the cigar cortex in my brain has awoken again and I have been dabbling back into cigars again, hoorayyy!!

I have recently bought some new smokes as well; a San Cristobal El Principe and a Trinidad Coloniales so we'll see how they got on once exams have finished.
I hope everyone is all good, it's lovely to be back on this forum, it's so friendly and I can't wait to be posting more reviews (when I have the money to buy new cigars).

Sorry again for not being on here for a while but I'm sure I'll be here for a while to come now (at least until winter anyway).
Happy smoking,
Matt.

Matt, you'll have lost your PMs due to inactivity. It's automatic after a number of months. Just quote Simon's post and put @ with his forum name immediately after it, within the post. He'll pick it up.

Hi Matt, long time no hear! So glad you dipped back in & will be looking fwd to thoise reviews. I can't can't have have noticed cigars tasting different in the winter exactly but for me the crunch is whether you have somewhere to smoke indoors? If not you're condemed to smoke outside then the low to freezing temps certainly do affect your ability to smell & taste your cigar & the finer more delicate flavours of say LGC & ERDM are muted or lost. So when fishing in the winter I tend to chose punchy cigars that if not tasting the same, will still taste of something & save my lighter smokes for the warmer months as you mentioned. For those of us who have somewhere to smoke indoors (& I know for me it won't last for ever), smoking can remain a pleasure all year round. But I'll still favour the summer for ERDM Largos Panatela & LGC No3's.

Hi Simon! Great to speak to you again! Hope all is well, thanks again for the cigars I'm saving the DC for a special occasion but I'll certainly review the others in the meantime
I can't unfortunately smoke outside at the minute (due to being in student accommodation) that's probably why the cigars taste worse in winter, the wind, temperature etc all probably have an effect on them. Hopefully now the summer is here we'll have some better weather and I'll be smoking more; I'm thinking about getting some Siglo VI's for my holiday in the summer, I've heard lots of good things about them
Glad to be speaking to you again mate!
Cheers,
Matt.

My favourite cigar of 2015 was the box of 2008 Sig VI I split with you. It's the type of cigar that makes me want to smoke cigars.

2nd was a 99 gold band Trinidad fundadores.

My choice was an '08 San Cristobal, La Fuerza.... I picked up,a,box on the strength of it, which are now having a noce nap. It was a joy, and smoked at a Black Wolf night at No1a.
Coirtesy of RobustoClubHavana i've managed to snag some 05's too.... Which will no,doubt feature in 2016's top 5....
