Hey declan....Something that shouldn't be discussed on here...however there are plenty of UK suppliers...CGars is one and jjfox who are brilliant and as a Londoner they have nice shops you can visit.

No harm in talking about online suppliers..... So long as they are UK based.

Mysmokingshop is good, I just go in because it's only down the road but I would have no issue ordering online. I have ordered from CGars online and the service has always been great.

Just check your prices before clicking collect to make sure your buying from the cheapest seller.

Why was my post deleted? It didn't contain any links to online retailers or specify any by name?

Probably because it was an attempt to circumvent rules and promote other discussion mediums..... Both pretty bad practice on an Internet forum.

Whats your point? Google all you like, literally nobody is stopping anyone from doing that. This place has rules, you and I dont set those rules.... The site owner does, for resons best known to him.... Generally for reasons that protect him .

They might seem unnecessary to you or I, they might seem completely rational to Dean. It does not really matter that much in the long run as we get a free place to come and chat without too many restrictions.

It's not an uncommon thing for forums to frown on the promotion of other outlets. Some dont allow linking to other entities such as blogs etc.

It's akin to going to someones party and shouting out "hey guys, it's a bit dull here... Lets pop round to so and so's instead."

But I suspect the main reason for the post being removed was the blatant attempt to circumvent the ban on discussing foreignt sources.

Lets just say one of us ran a forum and lets say that after a few years of hard work we got it to be a high ranking google page. Then we realise theres one thing that you know could ultimately get your website closed and you in hot water and it was a pretty hot topic in your field, I think theres every chance we would protect our work and ban discussion of that topic and to stop any confusion or grey area about how far to let the rules slip we just moderate ALL related talk.

Is it really such a hardship? It makes perfect sense to me.

With all due respect, it was a pretty unnecessary redirect GS. PM me if needed

This doesn't make sense or read properly. What do you mean?

I think his suggestion is that the average site poster does not possess the intelligence to use a search engine to identify a source outside of the board
