Not something I had thought of off the top of my own head... but playing the scene through on your recommendation - it's hilarious!

Did you show him the error of his ways though Sy? Naturally in a tactful, 'this is a real cigar' kind of way...

When he pulled the cigars out I hadn't showed him any of my smokes (this wasn't intentional as I didn't know he'd brought any 'smokes!!!' with him).

I waited till after we had, had the life sucked out of us by the vile things and then I showed him some proper Puros. I think he wanted a very large hole in the ground to open up...!?!

As for hitting him, No. I did however make him drink so much that he puked in their taxi on the way home... lol - sweet revenge.

    Cheers, HabanoSy

A few months back my wife invited a work colleague of hers and her husband over for a few drinks and a meal.

Knowing that I was a cigar lover and in an effort to 'fit in/impress - I don't know' the poor lad brought some cigars with him...!?!

He explained that this is what he and his father smoked when they got together and that they both really enjoyed this smoke...!!!

From his jacket pocket he produced a couple of cellophane encased sticks...

    The Don Alvaro...

Well F**K me this was possibly the worst cigar I have ever had the misfortune to smoke, I might have done better to leave the cellophane wrapper on whilst I smoked it in the vain hope that I passed out from toxic inhalation.

Never, and I mean never go near this cigar - pointless and horrible...

    Cheers, HabanoSy

I've had some pretty awful cigars in my time. Cheap NCs, bad JLPs &c.

But some of the worst premium cubans I have smoked have been SLR petit coronas. They've been a consistenly horrible smoke for me.

I am with you on this. i use to hate punch. i dont love them but i dont seek them out. I did have a chruchhill the other night from 01 that was eraly good. also have had a 84 nifa and a few other years of nifas that i did not like. AS time is passing i keep trying and slowly tend to like them.

yep. Fuente is one big hype. all of it is crap to me (sry if u like them). i use to hunt them down. they are hard to find and over priced even when in the USA.

And about the Psd4, i realy dont feel that is the best cigar form part or atleast to represent the line. Even a party short has more partagas flavor then the Pd4. If you ever get a chance to try a party lonsdale jump all over it.

Bizarrely, the ash made me feel sick as much as the taste. It had no form, and the cigar was really constructed of factory-floor flakes. There was no majestic leaf-clutch ash that you get in a well-rolled cigar.
I still remember it now.... it was a dark cold night out with some mates and we were lookin foward to smoking em, when we lit up, ugh! what the hell are these. For lack of a better word it felt like I was smoking newspaper, the smoke was so grotty. smashing up the tubes kind of made me feel better

The worst cigar I smoked was a Lone Wolf (founded by Chuck Norris and Jim Belushi). Morbid curiosity beckoned.

I also smoked a Te-Amo that was pretty bad.

Mine has to be a Villiger

These were gastly. Imagine a hamlet cigarillo, englarge it to 38 ring gauge and you have one of these. Yuck, I gave my second one to a mate (to which we collectively condemned it)

The second was a Nat Sherman 1400 series (cant recall the name, the foot was square-ish). Just a lifeless smoke! I seldomly bought another from my local store as it was all they had (that I was willing to buy), again it was just boring, really hard going, kept going out. overall just pooy, glad the shop stopped selling them.

    Cohiba Siglo 2

Hold your horses, I love this cigar to death, My cohiba count so far is 19 so Ive had a fair few of em. But ive had one bad experience with a Siglo 2, the cigar was so tight, ridiculously tight, no smoke could even get through, someone at the factory was having a bad day id imagine.

    Partagas Serie D No4

This was my first and last (currently) Partagas. This kind of put me off partagas, talk about first impressions. The smoke was really un-fun, hard to draw on, un-fufilling puffs of smoke, slow stupid burn, didnt like it. I hope for Partagas' sake that it was just a one off. I dont dislike partagas, but this first experience havent made buying another a top priority in my cigar experimenting tenure.

What are some of your bad smokes / bad smoking experiences?

The D4 objection seems funny. They sex me up at every toke. I feel two feet taller.

Whisk - Rolled by an arthiritic chimp.

    Wonderful stuff, Sir!
