Wow they really are a few special cigars, I?ll need to think about a few to put away for milestones. My 40th is 10 years away so a BHK would have aged nicely by then I?d have thought?!

It's a good idea if you can resist smoking your stock....even a siglo vi...some of the more experience BOTL do say they prefer an nice aged siglo vi compared to a bhk 52.

I have singe Robustos Supremos which im intending to smoke the day i have my first child.........when will happen i don't know but it will be well aged by then haha

The el Princpe is a lovely short smoke....only had them with some age...but very nice.

Imo you can't go wrong with Trinidad...very enjoyable..a mild marca but very tasty.

Special cigars i have saved. For my 40th are a Sig vi monte 80th and a bhk 56.

Also a bhk 52 saved for when we have child no 2.

Other than that i haven't thought about special cigar... especially as double band cigars are so over priced these days...i just don't see the point of spending my money on it...when i can get some regular production one and aged them for these special days.

Not sure if this would count as thread hijacking, but do people have thoughts on truly ?special? cigars (which may or may not be in their shopping list?)

As for my list, got some SCdlH El Principe on their way, some sort of Trinidad cigars ( a sampler on the way so I can try them as I?ve never tried them), HDM Epicure No2(never tried either) and Cohiba SigVI but they are steep and very much a longer term investment as they need their sleep.

The el Princpe is a lovely short smoke....only had them with some age...but very nice.

i would like Party D4/P2, Shorts , RASCC BBF, trinidad Troya(hoping these are as good as the Robusto t)...but the price is off putting on these.

I would like a 50 cab RASS, box of Monti Especial and another cab of BBF once i'm back in a buying position again which i hope wont be much longer now......also gonna try and squeeze in a box of Punch Punch as my gut is telling me its going to be chopped soon by Habanos.

You're right about that. Those prices are to crazy for me. I just got a call from a friend who has gotten in a couple of boxes of recent Fundis, I can't even afford a box of these at the moment.

Without a doubt they are premium, but not super premium, ignoring LE’s and other special releases Esplendidos are what 50% more expensive? What I was trying to say was that to me they are still costly enough to take no risks on, exactly as you put I like to pay the little bit extra and have peace of mind.

What makes you think Cuba has a quality control guy?

Maybe he is on permanent vacation since they shot him a long time ago because he failed to do his job correctly.
