Is anyone having problems with temperature as a result of the recent and sudden spike? Or do you have an ingenious solution to deal with rising temperatures?

I?m at about 75f now and feeling a little worried about my precious stock. Should I be?

After finding it mildly amusing that thedame007 went through the process of freezing his entire collection recently I suspect he?ll be the one laughing now.

Yup. Compared to last year I have slept like a baby.

Like many have said, you probably do not need to freeze, but for my own mentality I did...

maybbe time to clear out that Freezer Alex. Sure it was a bitch freezing the whole collection at first, but now it?s easy freezing what lands.

BTW my tempt is currently at 26 degrees

My smoking wineador is up to 23.5; I usually keep it at 20. I've been meaning to move it to where I keep the rest of my stock which never gets that hot but always forget until this weather hits.

Usually not much of a problem but I do find everything is wetter than I'd like for a while when the temperature drops back down again.

I might have to for the sake of my sanity! Although the mrs may see it the other way and think I’ve finally lost it if she comes home to find the freezer full of cigars

I can cope with a temporary increase in wetness but bugs give me nightmares!

Maybe book her a long weekend somewhere and win Brownie points as well as your sanity!

Even worse I panicked and turned my humidor on for the first time ever and the temperature rose more, it’s now unplugged

No problem here. Stock all gone and no opportunity to restock at moment.

I wouldn't worry too much. Everything is routinely frozen in Cuba these days anyway. I think the chances of beetles because of a few days heat are slim to none.

I certainly hope you’re right, at the very least you’ve settled my nerves slightly. I think I’ll be removing and inspecting all boxes for the next few weekends just to be sure.

It’s the first summer I’ve had with a relative large collection (almost 1k sticks) so I’m showing some newbie nerves probably.

Come next year when you have your 10k sticks, you’ll be as calm as monk in a coma!

We can all dream but excluding a lottery win there’s no way I’m getting to 10k any time soon, my bank just won’t allow it.

I also think they would require a house of their own, and a maid

Yea wouldn't worry to much... if you can place the humi in the coolest part of your house, thats the main thing you can do...but remember where the cigars are from and there temperature they reach over there.
