Yeah I dabble with the practise, it can knock the elbows off a young cigar.
Add some flexibility to an old fragile wrapper.
Not something I do with my regular rotation smokes but for stuff either side of that, case by case I do.

I tried it a few weeks back on a couple of cigars - I sprayed them with distilled water, wipe down and left them to rest for 24 hours in zip lock bags, before torching them. It does make a difference, in that the cigars produced more smoke, and the flavour profile is slightly more intense, but the practise constantly seemed to bring out a slight bitterness to the aftertaste - which was consistent. Would I do it again? probably not

Done it. Waste of a cigar. Never again. Rip. Never forget. [emoji23]

Theres a guy on youtube who only seems to smoke 50 year old unicorns like a 1970s dip6 and he wets every time. It makes me feel light headed just watching him!

I tried it with a Bolivar Corona Gigantes a few weeks back. It was a bit drier than it should have been and I thought I'd give the tap trick a go. It smoked fine... I cant say whether it was better as I don't know how it would have smoked without it going under the tap but there were no downsides.

    You?re All Wet!

    Evening lads!

I?ve been aware of this practice for sometime now and decided to give it a go for the first time tonight. Of course, I?m talkin? about the oft ridiculed practice of rinsing a puro under the tap for a few seconds before smoking.

    Crazy, right!?

    Anyone else ever try this?

Names, Jay, Ray Jay, and I digs me a big, fat wet one!
Working...
