Preach brother! For me Cohiba is that one marca that has a price premium that delivers. Sure, not everyday smoking but when you want a goodie you get a goodie ....Originally posted by SHAMZ84 View PostYou will when you experience a good one....

Same for me...had a few cohiba first and thought they were ok... nothing special....but when I tried a siglo vi from 08 it was fantastic.. the most enjoyable cigars I've smoked... lucky I had half a box and waiting for special occasions to enjoy them...for me they need at least 5/6 years minimum to enjoy them.Originally posted by sheppsea View PostI wouldn't say Cohiba is my favourite marca - although it is up there
But there do offer something different that make it a worthwhile occasional smoke for a treat

Really? Are u sure that?s not just in the US press where you find a massive bias to non-Cuban and additionally any marketing bungs? That?s what I?ve always thought anyway.Originally posted by Kickback View PostSurprised Padron didn't end up at the top. One of the highest rated marcas anywhere.

Agreed. As a general rule, I won?t touch a Cohiba with less than 3 years of age on it, preferably 5+.Originally posted by SHAMZ84 View PostSame for me...had a few cohiba first and thought they were ok... nothing special....but when I tried a siglo vi from 08 it was fantastic.. the most enjoyable cigars I've smoked... lucky I had half a box and waiting for special occasions to enjoy them...for me they need at least 5/6 years minimum to enjoy them.

Nope they do have some lovely cigars, but far too expensive for me to smoke regularly. Very special occasions only.Originally posted by Deano View PostReally? Agreed they are exquisitely constructed and very flavoursome. My favourite NC. Regarding expense I wouldn?t say they are more than the top end regular production Cubans. If you take away the Cuban nostalgia (let?s be honest, it exists and we all love it, even me!) then it purely comes down to what tickles your fancy and if that?s the Padron flavour profile, fill your boots.Originally posted by Kickback View PostNope they do have some lovely cigars, but far too expensive for me to smoke regularly. I?d buy boxes of padrons to have as a regular smoke if I could afford to, but that?s the same thing I?d say about cohiba?s!
