Hi all, just wanted to say hi and pick your brains.
Bought my first humidor this afternoon from James Barber in Otley, along with a Hoyo de Monterey edicion limitada 2003 and a Montecristo No. 2.
On getting home I realised I had no distilled water. Until I can get some tomorrow how should I best store the cigars for the next few days until the humidor is ready? They are presently in a sealed clear plastic bag.
I also have a Montecisto petit tubos I bought a week ago from Wine Rack. Should I take it out of the tube before I put it in the humidor?
Also, must it be distilled water I use or can de-ionised water be used too?
It's late so this is a short first post but I'm looking forward to further contributions.

Howdy there, senor juno....
loved the movie!
Small plastic bag (or as the americanos say,
a baggie) is the best, IMO. Less air to dry out your prize puros.
your call. But for the record, tubos do not protect against drying out indefinately, but they slow it down a bit.
Hope you find the information useful as you begin your journey down the path of fine
Habano puros!
