i'd say in terms of size i prefer a corona or corona gorda. Robustos come high up too.

I have to be in the right mood for something larger.
Warning: Smoking cigars may cause a slow and delicious death.

Arggghhh! You bloody Limeys with your fecking Robustos. It's only because it makes your peckers look bigger. Robustos are for children.

Give me a nice, fat Torpedo any day. Love the way it concentrates the smoke.

              Churchills are nice.

              Double Coronas are the best.

And let's dispel this notion of not having enough time for a larger vitola once and for all. There is no such thing as not having enough time to smoke a longer, fatter stogie. There is only the need to re-prioritize what is important. Work? Feh! Family? Puh! Sleep? Over-rated! Nothing quite so fulfilling in your miserable, pathetic, scuffling, little life as sitting down and puffing a good see-gar for an hour or two, preferably with a libation of choice.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

(And what's with this propensity of late for SHOUTING on this forum?)

I really dislike all the shouting - can't help but wonder that sometimes the louder one shouts the less one has to say.

I really like piramades and torpedos - my fave.

I'm with Dave on this. I think all vitolas have a place in a day and moment. Having said that I agree that torpedos/ Figurados tend to concentrate flavours better and Given two cigars of the same ring gauge I'd probably pick a torpedo if available.

The only vitola I have an issue with is longer cigars (double Coronas , Churchills, etc) when they don't evolve flavourwise. It gets a bit boring if you get the same aroma for two hours unless that is really mindblowing. Having said that I only had this issue in a NC Churchill once.

Yeah I've been aging some NC churchills, had one the other day, it was ok. It was a light smoke to begin with , but smoking it was a bit bland. It behaved nice and had a nice soft touch, but at times my pallette demands something a bit more.....say...harsh.

                        Yeah, with you there Monkey.
I notice Mr B hasn't committed since kicking this one off. I'm guessing, taking into account his sensory penchant for meat products, that he luuurves a Bratwurstenciggaren

I guess coming from the NC side of things it all depends on the blend. If the wrapper is donating a lot of flavors I would opt for a lonsdale, panatela, or corona. If the wrapper is mellowing some stronger fillers, like you find in some maduros, I tend to go with a toro, torpedo, or churchill.

Due to time constraints I do have quite a few robustos in the humi. But I will admit, I'm a sucker for a perfecto!

Chalk me up for a churchill, or, if time permits, and the occasion demands, a double corona.

But, like the majority, I'll give most sizes (and shapes) a whirl.
