A little off topic perhaps, but talking about Christmas cigars has got me thinking about the question, "Just how many great cigars can you smoke in one day?"

I've been smoking for a long time, but still find it a struggle to smoke two decent sized cigars in a day. Some minis follwed by a Robusto is fine, but if I smoke two Robusto sized cigars in a day I'm in bits the following morning. That said I usually accompany my cigar smoking with with alcohol, so two cigars in a day usually means i have totally overcooked it!

Well I smoked six on Friday. Nub Habano, RyJ magnum 48, Hoyo espeical, Rocky Patel sun grown, Carlos Torano, Hoyo petit robusto. Think that is the most I can remember in an afternoon to LATE night.

Tell 'em to smoke outside! They'll be used to it. Say you've got an allergy.

I will ensure I have my smoking mancave functional by then and spend a couple of hours with a Partagas Lusitania. My reward for all that cooking.

I know what you mean, but it's not easy to send the mother in law outside in the howling wind and rain....lol

Like many things in life it will probably be a lot easier than you think & you will wonder what you were so worried about.

              Go on, do it.

Ummm it's tempting, but I'll probably say it's no smoking in doors and sneak of to me smoking room while no one is looking... being as the non smokers hate both...

Xmas lunch with my Father-in-law and my brother-in-laws father-in-law (are you following so far).

I shall take along 3 Cohiba Genois, a selection of Churchill's and perhaps those sweet Monte EL06's (just for me!).

By the end of lunch we will have consumed much great food and wine, probably some Grappa as well.

I am buying my FIL a bottle of 2003 d'Yquem for his xmas (I am quite hoping he will open it up with the smokes as I am very curious to see if this superlative, complex, sweet wine goes with a nice smoke). Of course he may decide to put it away.

Bleak Christmas for me cigarwise. Xmas Day and Boxing Day at the Sister-in-Laws, now a totally non-smoking house since Roger had his heart scare and gave up the Romeo's. Day after Boxing Day down to Winchester to my daughter's .... again no-smoking .... can't even catch one before dinner if James and I nip to the boozer .... at best a Cohiba mini for the walk!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I think it might well have to be a Cohiba Siglo VI for Christmay here, got a couple in the Humi waiting for such an occasion!

Ooh, I think that I may finally give one of my LGC Gloriosos UK REs an airing on the day itself. I've also promised a neighbour a decent stick to save him from 'celebrating' the big occassion with a Hamlet...

Envious of those with access to the Monte Sublimes, I haven't had the pleasure of trying one yet.
I've been saving a couple of the Cohibas for a special occasion, though Christmas day isn't going to be it - sorry Jesus (It might be if I could smoke it while watching Doctor Who - Hmmn, NOW there's an idea!).

Failing that, it'll be a Cohiba DC that I've been ageing for 2/3 years, washed down with good malt, or two. Can't wait.
