I like a cigar with coffee to start and then with a pint of water. keeps the mouth cool and lets you taste the flavours.

Well prepared coffee can be light and fruity with no bitterness. Can also be excellent cold with a nice stick. Unfortunately well prepared coffee is a rarity.

Good wrapper, nice draw. Even burn. Taste is wonderful. Got tobacco, slight pepper notes (probably white pepper). At some point during the half way mark toffee and then and please don't laugh. Popcorn flavours!

Only problem. They are smoked too quickly! Will try my H.Upmann later on.
Very happy to hear. It was just the cigar me too!

Unless I'm on the whisky, I generally go for Sprite, Dr Pepper or Coca Cola.Still not tried tea with a cigar yet!

I avoid coffee and stick to a light tea like earl grey, otherwise the taste of the drink just overwhelms the cigar.

Yup, Earl Grey works for me. The refreshing taste is better than coffee with a smoke any day. No milk though.

i really dont recommend drinking coffee with cigars personally

a double espresso at the start of a cigar maybe... but only if water is on hand.
coffee in the mouth gets stale... and for me can heighten the bitterness of a cigar
ESPECIALLY shit coffee, or coffee that isnt piping hot served fresh. once you reach half way through a cup of coffee when it cools down... you always get bitterness

try a palate cleanser... tea with lemon (no milk) before a cigar, that may work wonders. also i taste with the nose, rarely the tongue. inhale the smoke off the wrapper as you draw on cigar... blow smoke out slowly and inhale through nose, then exhale the remainder of the smoke back out through nose. by the end of most cigars my nose is doing 100% of the work!

but above all, you have to be in the right state of mind... and sometimes you just can't get there

    Glad to hear it.
Don't give up on the bolis though. Try a good one cos IMO they're one of the best, especially the RC's.
Would love to have sent you one but sadly finances prevent me from buying any more just now, and I only have one RC left which I have selfishly earmarked for tomorrow night after a fairly traumatic week. Sorry.

Guys I couldn't resist and smoked a punch petit punch today. Wooohooo what a smoke and nice tobacco taste and light pepper notes. Loads of smoke and a superb experience. I really think the Bolivar was just a bad one or needs more TLC in a humi. So sorry the US won't be bombed. Oooooooh lol
