  • Old sticks at auction.

These looked interesting- the auctioneer didn’t disclose the final hammer price.

Worth a gamble if you can inspect them.

I thought that too- I think the davidoff were discontinued In The 80’s. If they’ve not been in a Humi all this time they’d have had it. Although saying that. If they had, would they still be in good shape? or past the point of no return. How old can cigars get before they turn to 💩?

Not sure...not had anything that old before....has one from the 90s which have been a nice mellow cigar.

Simon Bolivar loves a vintage smoke...he could shed some light if and when a cigar turns from aging

I would say definitely worth a punt if you could inspect first. I'd love to try something that old

I wonder if the cello in this case helps preserve them.

I suspect with the length of time we are talking about it wouldn't make a big difference

Well, I would definitely love to get my hands on a Davidoff No.1. If they have been stored correctly they will be smokeable. I purchased a pre-embargo cigar the other day and intend to smoke it.

Yes, I guess it very much depends on storage especially at that age.

These were In Excess of 1500 I believe.

How old are those? Always interesting that the slimmer gauges were more popular in the past

The Cohiba were available like this until the early 80s. Hard to put a date on the Davidoff, they were produced from 69 to 91.

I've got a box of pre-revolution Partagas. The box is hammered but surprisingly the sticks still look, feel and smell good.
