  • Help with tomorrows buying decision!

So my humi's nearly full, but with the nights getting darker and colder, I don't always have a leisurely hour + to smoke every evening.

My solution a less than 30min Tres Petit Corona?

I was going to pop by Cgars tommorow and pick up a 25 box of

    Dippy No.5's @ ?145

    Oh wise UKCF, should I?

    Are there alternatives?

Cost is an issue, this'll be my third box this month (Monte 2's & Nub 464T's), and that's it till mid Oct otherwise I'll be getting a divorce as a birthday present.

    Help!

Bolivar Tubos 3 surprised me recently, a full but pleasant smoke and probably about the same price as Dippy 5's.

Partagas Short would get my vote ahead of the Dippy...but thats probably only confusing things...

I'd stick with the 3rd box, it's cheaper than a divorce

I agree with the Party short...loads of flavour in a short stick

...to further confuse, how about Trini Reyes??

My top 5 choice in order would be...

            Trinidad Reyes
            Partagas Shorts
            Montecristo No.5
            ERdM Demi Tasse
            Diplomaticos No.5

            Hope this helps...!?!

I do the same during the winter months, untill i built a smoking room, but till then i smoked Partagas Shorts and RASCC's the latter my favorites.

The Reyes and the Secretos last longer than a perla in my experience, so I'll put in ANOTHER vote for the Punch Petit Punch. I've not tried them but I hear the Bolivar Corona Juniors a worth a look in too.

Yes, definitely. And the minutos (RASCC, El Principe, Bolivar CJ, Shorts) last even more longer.

Another vote for the Punch Petit Punch - get some while they're still around.

I've had a few and found them all to be rather nice, including this afternoon's offering (which I have reviewed, here).

The other one I would consider is the Party Short, as already alluded to. Perhaps 5 minutes longer, but a top quality cigar - very different to the Punch PP. If you like sweet and mellow, but still flavourful, go with the PPP; if you want big flavour - coffee was the biggy for me - then go for the Party Short.

Whilst I enjoyed the Boli 3 I smoked a few weeks back, I'm not sure I could grab a box as my 'go to' for the autumn. A little rough when young, and wholly without the finesse of the bigger Bolivars.
