  • Short smoke recommendations

The weather over the last few weeks has made it rather difficult to go and sit out in the garden for an hour or so and enjoy a cigar. I’ve a nice stock of cigars but they’re all either rather long or have a large ring gauge.

There have been a few occasions this week particularly where I’ve really wanted a quick smoke but nothing I have fits the bill ... can anyone recommend any decent short smokes (10-20 mins smoking time)?

I’ve seen Davidoff do a range of smaller cigars called Primeros which sound okay and may tide me over a few weeks until the weather improves, anyone tried these?

I'd go for ERDM DT & HUHC for starters

10-20 is very short getting into purito territory (out of those I prefer the Party) for shorter smokes my preferences are El Principes, RASCC and short Churchill’s but I wouldn’t smoke any of them close to as fast as that.

Personally I’ve gone round in circles in the past but for a cigar to be worth smoking it deserves a half hour minimum set aside for it to properly enjoy. Plenty of options around the 30-40 minute mark

RASCC would be my go to 'short' smoke but I'm a slow smoker and can stretch these out for an hour.

I've had a Davidoff Primeros and it was very good, also had the La Invicta short and Trinidad shorts, and RJ Petit Julietas - all reflect the flavour profile of their brands, good 20 min smokes.

I struggle to finish anything other than a short and by that I mean the size of a Cohiba or Trinidad short, in less than 20 minutes.

The shorts are ... Well very short! At 3¼" whereas an ERDM DT is 4" long and last me around a half hour.

I won't smoke a Cigar unless there's no rush. And this cold is a complete put off for me. Rather be patient for what looks like only a few more days now!

This reminds me though of LD saying he tears through a Skull 77 el nino in like 10-15 minutes!

                  .--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

                    HUHC.

both offer good value young and with age. HUHC when young can have harsh edges.... so a box with a year in them will offer something ‘now’ and as you steadily get through them IMHO...

This is very similar to myself, if you’re looking for 20 minutes or under I’d give the Cohiba and Trini shorts a try. I’ll also throw in the Monte Purito, took me about 30 min but I’m quite a slow smoker, a PC will last me close to an hour.

Some great recommendations in here already but I wouldn’t rush a good short smoke like a RASCC because it’s cold and not enjoy it.

Try Montecristo no 5, i guess they would fall in the 10-20 minutes range.

I’m in the 10-20 minute not being long enough camp, most of these suggestions take me in the region of 45 minutes but perhaps I’m a slow smoker. Looking back over my notes the only thing sub 20 minutes for me is the Cohiba short, it’s a decent smoke too considering.
