It's supposed to yes. I've always used the ready made humidity solutions in the past in desktop humidors. And then moved to distilled water. A 50/50 mix will maintain 70% humidity at 65F IIRC. Then added Boveda.
I'll see if the humidity raises over time as the PG dilutes.
PG also stops mould. Apparently.
It's got a high evaporation temperature, so not sure how quickly it might evaporate at room temperature. But as the commercial humidity solutions are 50/50 might expect to have to stick to this. Or there about.
Then other thing is simplicity too. I can simply keep a mixture ready in the measure bottle. So long as I can get hold of it. Let see.
I use pg in my Vape juice
Try
Everythingliquid.co.uk
Or
Vapable.co.uk
They sell good quality stuff
Edit, looks like I didn't read it properly your sorted 👍
I presume there’s no issues with the chemical and boveda? They’re salt based aren’t they but it doesn’t sound like it’s changing the rh that they’re controlling. Presume the coating that it leaves remains porous so wouldn’t effect anything either?
I know nothing of this but if it doesn’t evaporate do you know why it always asks for a 50/50 solution? I imagined you would always need to use that mix going forwards but it sounds like not?
Does PG regulate naturally at the right rh for us then?

I've recently added propylene glycol to my humidity control and seems to be more steady.
I have a bunch of humidifiers that contain humidification crystals plus some boveda packs rated 69% in the cabinet.
I know the various shops sell a humidity mixture containing PG. So a brief look around and it's easy enough to find. So I've now mixed up 50/50 PG and distilled water. This has certainly stopped the humidity rising up to 70. Now much more stable around 64/65.
I was going to get more heartfelt beads in but now this looks like a good option using stuff available in the UK.
Simple enough.
Apparently the PG doesn't evaporate? So once applied can to up with distilled water. But let's see.
