I hope you're in for the long haul because when Joe says 'too fresh' he means years too fresh

You might be best checking these quarterly! See how the smell changes. And this is the tactic... Buy more than you smoke. Sorry!
            .--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Unless you're particularly sentimental over them, and if you're in this game for the long term... it might be a good idea to try one of them 'fresh' to allow for a comparison further down the line. I'm assuming they're Cuban? I dont recall smelling cat piss, but I know I've had Cubans younger than the recommended 2/3 years and I've not been impressed. But at least I know what to compare them to when I try some after the 3 years I'm waiting 🤞

Stick them away in a humidor or tupaware for 3-6 months. If you can resist trying on now, you’ll reap the benefit. Ammonia is not a nice flavour

Unless they are aged it’s not uncommon with Cubans.

I have placed the 6 stick that smelled of ammonia is a container with 69% boveda and a hygrometer currently reading 22.3c 70% RH the others are in a separate container so I have some to smoke same boveda %

You know Cuban cigars are rolled on the thighs of the lady rollers.
I think yours were done by an old lady with bladder issues.
