I would love to smoke better smokes all the time but i cant justify that with the wife and also its something i could hand out to my friends who dont actually smoke cigars but want one at the time im having one without thinking thats £30 thrown away because he wouldnt know the difference between a Monte No2 or a Guantanamera (i WILL NOT smoke these) so i thought i would ask for what others use to smoke

Petit Quintero’s with a few years on them are very good smokes for their price. JLP Petit cazzies are probably the worst of the humidor fillers I keep but again for the price they do a fine job after a couple of years of rest to get the edges off.

I agree in smoking better sticks less often is better than smoking a dog rocket everyday but sometimes you just want an hour to yourself and the smoke itself is almost irrelevant.

If you get a chance to go away or have someone willing to bring stuff back for you HUHC, RyJ/Partagas Mille Fleur are around €4-5 each. There are a few others in the PC category that are similar in price for 60-90 min of smoking time. The only things I really tend to buy in the UK now are puritos as the savings are minimal considering their cost anyway. Partagas Chico’s are the best, Monte puritos are also half decent for 20-30 min smokes and I always have a box of Trinidad shorts on hand, same price as the Cohibas but far better, around a 15 min smoke for when it’s really cold or you don’t have much time at all.

I have a few Quintero and JLP on route to try, I'm yet to try many expensive sticks so at the moment I smoke a cigar just to have an hour peace I'm sure I will progress to better cigars as my cigar journey progresses but I'm just happy to have something to enjoy a couple of times a week and a "nice" smoke for special occasions.

I have bought a few Puritos RyJ and Monte's for cold day smokes and I am eyeing the Trinidad shorts for my next pack of Puritos as for the travelling not for me anytime soon most of my money is used on the kids haha I only have the 2 pleasures cigars and whiskey 😅 and they take what ever is left after the wife of course hope some friends travel soon so I can try get them to be my mule but I doubt that's anytime soon aswell so I'm stuck with UK prices for now YAY!!
