So who else is attending tonight? I know Deano is doing Gauntleys? and Rich B, ha_banos are doing CGars St James. I totally missed out on the CGars one - gutted! I’m heading to Mount Street Sautters for mine - I think they are giving out two sticks for £100 but could be wrong. Never smoked in there before - so looking forward to it - even if it’s a bit of a small venue.

I'm sure it will be a highly entertaining evening in the company of Lawrence. I'll be battling the elements at the CASC event.Originally posted by ldncigarsmoker View PostSo who else is attending tonight? I shall be hosting the Mount Street event along with the lovely Magali De La Cruz. Bring a warm coat; there is not enough room to swing a cat in Mt St, so most of us will be herfing al fresco! Thankfully, looks like being dry and not too chilly...Originally posted by ldncigarsmoker View PostSo who else is attending tonight? So. Still had a mouthful of PL47 this morning! That's how much oiliness there was after about halfway through the cigar. Really great start, smooth, great aroma after light and quickly developed into some sweet and later minty aromas. I guess they put something up front to excite right away and make you take note. Good start. Its not a strong cigar. I prefer milder cigars. But it was tasty and smooth throughout, definitely changed up throughout. And it was a joy to retro-hale all the way through. It built up to medium in the last third I'd say. Draw slightly on the easy side. A couple of comments from others that is was a bit firmer, so may vary. Whisky was being poured non stop! Lost count how many pours I had. Mitch kept advising to divide the number by 7 or 8! So maybe i had 1 or 2 drams using that math scale! :P They also gave us a PLPC while we were waiting for 6.30 and a RyJ Petit Royales take away. Mitch was offering anyone another cigar too if they had finished the PL47 early. He had and had time for a La Trova after too!
So overall really nice rich tasty and very aromatic cigar, on the milder side. Could have had more intensity but i think it was blended as an easy cigar you could smoke back to back. Not overpowering at all. Took me the full 2hrs to finish.
Guy next to me was asking how i think it would age. No idea!
Did I enjoy it? Totally. Am I buying a box? Get outta town!
