Can my aged Monte No2 be saved?

PerfecDraw arrived yesterday. I had a Monte Open J on Sunday where the tool would have came in handy as it that had a slightly tighter draw than I would have liked.

Sounds like Perfect advice to me, you can also try dry boxing for a couple of days, if you usually keep them above 65%. But on this occasion I guess that's not the problem, as you have been bringing them up slowly but a tip to remember in future. BTW Perfectdraw's are much cheaper than when I bought mine but with today's cigar prices, you'll get your money back after saving just one cigar!

The PerfecDraw can save almost every cigar. It's quite amazing at pulling excess baccy out. If you smoke Cubans, you have to have one.... Unless you're CohibaIV who says he's never had a plugged cigar!

What humidity did you bring them up to? You could try cut but don't light. Test the draw and if its plugged, try dry boxing and testing day by day?

If your lucky, this one might just be the curse of Cuba, maybe another one will be fine.

Watch some vids about using the PD. Not every plugged cigar can be saved with a PD either. So all you can do is try.

65% with Boveda packs. I'll try that out. I'll give my next few cigars a draw before lightening them to see what each feels like so I know for future.

Unless you can clear the blockage asap, you might as well bin it I'm afraid. Relighting after even a few hours isn't a great idea as it'll become acrid & nasty

Yeah, I tried a few home remedies, but nothing would clear the blockage. I've ordered the PerfecDraw in case this happens again.

I'm afraid the others may be like this too. Is there anything else I can do to prevent the likelihood of it happening again?
