I just usually get, "F**k me that smells like dog shit" or another of my favourites, "Who the F**k do you think you are, Mr Mafia"
I tell them yes, yes i am now F**k off before i stick it up your arse.
I was driving home from work last week, sat at the lights. A guy pulled up at the side of me , elderly gent, well dressed and in a nice merc. Nice Cohiba in his mouth. He turned, noticed i was smoking a cigar, and he gave me the nod and a smile. It doesnt happen often, but its nice when it does.
But most of the time, as Monkey said, pricks are pricks

Pricks are pricks regardless of the subject (or accent used).
I have certainly heard many a botl use Spanish accents when describing various vitolas (indeed just using the word vitola is part of this discussion). Sometimes it is appropriate, sometimes a bit pretentious.
...but as said before, pricks are pricks

For my part, i tend to go so far as to remove the band. What I smoke is my business - im not smoking to impress anyone but my taste buds. If someone asks I might tell them? but I might not.
I find pompous people like that really rub me the wrong way. Avoid!

Cigar name pronunciation.
Was out for a short while last night and was, for some of the time, in the company of a fellow cigar smoker. I had never met this guy before and, perhaps unfairly, my first impressions were that, unlike myself, this chap seemed to be one of those guys who liked everyone to know that he was a smoker of "expensive quality cigars" and that he had smoked the best in all the best places. So be it, I smoke the ones I enjoy, and unless asked never even tell anyone what kind I'm smoking, far less how much it cost me.
Anyway, each to his own. What I am interested to know is, is there any information available as to the correct pronunciation of the names of the various brands (I'm thinking Cuban here but just as interested in NC).
The only reason I ask is that, not only did this guy delight in telling everyone, whether interested or not, about his hobby, but he also insisted in using what he obviously perceived as a Cuban accent (similar to Sir Sean's Russian in "The Hunt For Red October") and some of the dodgiest pronunciation I had heard. Maybe its me who is wrong but I have never pronounced "Fonsessa"-note that I'm typing in a Cuban accent-, "Partahhgahh", "Qwaba" or, and this was when I had to leave the company before seeming too rude "Weygah Ribena".
