There's a lot of conditions and concerns from local residents but they have granted the license to open. It looks like it's in the middle of a residential area. And they are clearly focused on the sampling lounge experience with 12 seats inside as well as 12 outside. Be interesting to see how they get on.

It does seem a strange area to place such a shop but we can only wish them good luck, anyone near enough to do a report on opening day? It'll be interesting to see how the outside smoking is accepted by the locals & whether complaints lead to that being curtailed - as of course it's due to be in Belgium next year.

It’s a wonder any new lounges are opening with the new laws that have come in. Was even surprised that cgars have new place on Pall Mall

Pall Mall must take custom from St James shop, as they are so close, unless Pall Mall is going to be even more exclusive & expensive?

Going back to Northwood, I see that local residents did object & I am surprised they managed to get a licence to midnight. II would note that at Hotel du Vin chain, doesn't allow smoking in their bothies post 22:00. Something i discovered after they had just sold me another expensive drink & telling the barman I was about to smoke another cigar. He only told me after I'd paid for it, the bothy would close in 10mins!!! Bu**er.

Anyway I would imagine, this new store would be well advised to operate a similar time limit to the outside facilities, to avoid increased complaints & risk to their licence. Wouldn't expect any complaints about noise from inside.
