Bhk 56. Can't comment on the 52 or 54. Like T said, this is a WEIRD smoke and to my taste really no better than most regular production cubans. No wholesome flavour, no strength to make it stand out, no good!
By far the worst this year for me has been the New Trinidad short Robusto! I had been looking forward to this and then it just didnt want to play!
It burnt really hot and uneven like i have never seen. Even with constant correction it canoed all the way up.
Being a huge Trini fan i guess this was just a stroke of bad luck but I havent managed to bring myself to light another.
+1 (sorry to be lazy)
May improve with age, Trinidad do in my experience, but this is so little cigar for the money I can't think I shall replace the one I have in my humidor once it's smoked.
Most disappointing would definitely be the RyJ Duke. I need to try another incase I had a dud, but the construction was woeful, and the flavour didn't do anywhere near enough to make up for it.
Whilst I'd agree that the BHKs didn't live up to the expectations which had been set for them, I couldn't call them disappointing, as I still thought they were very good cigars (and a good cigar can never be a disappointment ).
Of course, the Rafael Gonzalez PC I had was worse than the Duke, but I had no real expectations of it, so couldn't really be disappointed. (Just annoyed that I'd spent money on it).
I have had one that was gifted to me in the humi since their UK release (June/July 03? & still sitting there), but back in the summer smoked my first - one obtained as part of a trade on here
Not a bad smoke, but it didn't match up to the Monty Sublimes from the same source that I had smoked the previous weekend.
Prior to that I'd would have said P SD4 - had a 3 or 4 over my smoking career, but never enjoyed them (even a Reserva smoked back in '07) until one I smoked a couple of months back (also from a trade IIRC).
As for new cigars, this might change when I try a wide churchill but the Behike 56 was the most disappointing, not the worst but the most disappointing. The 54 is the king of that line.
