I've been toying with this idea as well. I have a shed full of tools and in need of a little repair but plan on buying a new one, put a small workbench and vice in it to do odd jobs and perhaps build cigar box guitars etc..
Also as you suggested to smoke cigars in. I am wondering if I should add a little isolation in it to winter proof it a bit.

I'm in the advanced planning stages for mine and have all the cladding and doors stacked in the garden. The framing timber is right around the corner at the timber merchants if I could just find the time to put it all together. If you are handy (having a shed full of tools is a big plus) then you can probably make a custom unit for less than you can buy off the shelf and have exactly what you want.

I currently have an old 6x8 overlap shed that I use in winter, rain & windy conditions. It has electric run to it so I use a small 1000/2000W heater in there and it's toasty in 10 minutes with no added insulation. Comfortable but it's really no frills.

This is a good site for motivation http://www.readersheds.co.uk/ The 'Pub Sheds' section offers some good dreaming material.

Funny you should say this... I've had myself on the list for an allotment in Plymouth for nearly two years now... Aside from growing a bit of veg and generally having a bit of outdoor space (downside of living in a flat), I was looking forward to sitting outside a shed with a mate and a couple of cigars, just looking at the tomatos and runner beans... Sounds like bliss.

    Yo Cat!

Cakeage was suggested to me on the phone by one of my band buddies last night and he reckons it gets you somewhere else more quickly that puffage.

Pse PM me that recipe if you wish.

I have to say we are men/women who like the sensuality of being wreathed in cigar smoke on here, so to approach weed in a smokeless form seems a bit bacon sandwich without HP sauce to me.

    However...

To my first buddies on here: I'm not descending into a Katona-like hell here. If I'd have said I'd bought a couple of bottles of fine single malts, nobody would really have batted an eyelid.

I shall not morph into Captain Weed outside the Houses of Parliament, but I am going to take this like my first pint of cider.

Or Costa Coffee lemon cup cake. x

    PS... All Floyd banished.
    Led Zep to my left.
Elaine Page and Barbara Dickson to my right.
It will all sound different, they all say...

    Good for you Bryan!
Perhaps you should consider going down the 'edible' route, i.e. a nice, (undetectable) brownie or cake for instance?

    I know a great recipe!

P.S. As a 'novice', stay away from your 'Pink Floyd' collection for the time being.

I set myself up with my first joint ever down in my shack this week. (I'm 52 with no history at all, although it's always been around). I'm on holiday from work so can plan solo moments with no interruption...

    Hopeless.
    Nothing at all.

The major problem is that we guys don't inhale. We're used to a closed trapdoor smoke-wise, and I spluttered like a girl a few times. Tragic.

I'd planned this like an underground operation. Hid the joint in a special shack spot where it couldn't be found. Had it rolled for me by an ultra-stoner colleague who said it was mild.

If I'm ever found out, I'll be divorced...

So what did I get when I came in after walking the dog last night?

    "So how was your joint?".

Both went to bed laughing like drains.

I'm off on a camping trip with open night skies so will be practising once or twice in the wild very soon.

I should have tried this as a teenager, really, but am not going to become some lost-to-weed freak.

The thing is I CANNOT drink alcohol. It makes me feel sick and I have to go and urinate after a pint of milk, cider, McShake, whatever.

I've got to try something, boys. I don't want to sit on the pews near the vicar forever. I'm fucking exemplary all day, all week, all term, all year long.

The odd bit of 'wickedness' won't make me a lost cause.

And weed should be legalised anyway...

M1F2R3 - definitely, was looking at those too. That ?299 is a bargain but I doubt it'll be warm in the winter!
I agree, it didn't look overly warm but for ?299 I'm sure you could possibly get some form of wood-burning stove in there or even a patio heater!

The more I look at these the more I want one myself! LOL.
