Bomb.2014.03.06.Sludgie.SAM_4352.jpgRemember the soliders tale 'A Deck of Cards' by T.Texas Tyler? Well here's a RN version.

Not a bomb but a mighty Mk8 landed the deck this morning; been a while since I accepted an armed flight onboard on a ship! What an astute selection:
When I look at the Lusitania Sept 00, the soveriegn of cigars, it appeared to me an enormous cylindrical shape gliding silently beneath our seas, with a magnificent hull, smooth as silk wrapping, minimising it's signature. Also reminding us by it's very name, of the tragedy of letting dictators build such machines of war, that can do so much harm in their hands.
RA Superiors May 12 is the sceptre for the soveriegn, stands proud & strong.
Boli Britannicas Dec 11, oddly shaped, dark, brooding, remaining strong with a long finish; representing these islands, that we defended.
H.Upmann Mag 50, has to be the weapon of choice for any conqueror & no doubt has sunk some without a trace.
LFdCano Grand Cano Jul 13, rather splendid by all accounts, the orb.

Finally the superb Monte Sublimes 2008, can't wait to sink a few smoking this killer & will save for a suitably splendid occasion. One things for, sure my humblest humi' will never look spartan with just one of these sticks safely berthed inside.

Many thanks, stunned & this will be remembered Deeps.

You haven't named the perp Si .... but going by the photo caption it's an ex-RN known for his sartorial indulgence and recently acquired beard.

            Great gifting, great cigars!

Indeed Tippex, our very own sartorially elegent Sludgemariner. So how many boats were mentioned in the tale?

At a guess going on names of ships and/or class type, I would go for 7?

They're all Renowned for being good smokes. I'm sure Simon as an Oracle of the forum will pass his Resolution and judgement soon. A Triumph then....with some Astute choices. Just hope that they don't creep up and Ambush you, or have their Revenge.....!
