So mine arrived today (thanks Adam). I let it rest for 8 hours (!) and smoked it. I measured it to be 40rg and 105 mm. The construction was good and i could see plenty of long fillers. The wrapper came unstuck after 1cm but easily fixed with a licky licky sticky sticky. The flavour was oat and chocolate but sadly i got an ammonia taste after a third that persisted to haunt the rest of the cigar until it unravelled again on the last third. In my opinion it would really benefit from a minimum of 5 years age. Conclusion = cohiba maduro secretos

I never had it before, it was beautiful otherwise & a quality smoke. I like these blind tastings it allows me to try stuff i'd not think of otherwise. What i mean is a maduro wrapper isn't something I've had before.
How does the COTM rota work? Is there a list or does the previous organiser select someone?

Do you want to volunteer to host a month?Originally posted by smokey joe View PostI never had it before, it was beautiful otherwise & a quality smoke. I like these blind tastings it allows me to try stuff i'd not think of otherwise. What i mean is a maduro wrapper isn't something I've had before.

It was originally launched as a club but essentially the number each month depends on how many cigars that particular host gets in. Perhaps we should change it to a first come first serve list each month dependent on that factor. Opinions?'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

A joyous thought indeed but the host doesn't buy singles usually so is slightly constricted by the size of the box he buys. I launched with a mazo of 25 Diesels which enabled 12 players to have 2 each with one for me. The essential rule is for the host not to end up out of pocket so if he buys a box of 25 he has to do the same as me or get 24 players or accept the leftovers and cost. Like I said, its all down to the host.Originally posted by Wigan View PostA thought which I am sure we all have almost everyday (some of us more) which could be applied to this situation:
