BIRTHDAY BOMB UPDATE

I've started a separate thread for this topic to keep it apart from the regular one where we all post photos and good wishes.

We have finished the first year of what I hope you all thought was a successful and enjoyable experience and I am happy to carry on into another.

This is your opportunity to say if you want to drop out, there are currently fourteen birthdays next year with the heaviest month being April with four. February is clear. A couple of defaulters will be struck from the list.

This is also your opportunity to join in if you wish. You must have PMs to play but if you're close you can join later in the year. Just send me your birthday, name and address if you want to join.

We have a birthday early in the New Year for a very popular brother and I'll send out details soon. They will need to be posted on 27th December if you can.

Maybe if numbers get too much we pop a cap on the amount of sticks? I know some would send a big bomb but that may (if we get loads sign up) put some of the less able bombers off.

That's a good idea, we could limit it to one or two sticks then the only consideration beyond that is the value.

so how many cigars do you send out on others bdays? just working out if i can do this dont really have a big collection as i am just starting out?

also i work away 2 weeks on off so i would need to get bdays early on a month basis if possible so i dont miss any?!

It's not just the birthday bombs where the level of generosity has been over and above! It's a difficult one to call as I know myself, when I have sent bombs (not just on the birthday bombing run), I've had in the back of my mind, 'I hope they don't think I'm a tight git!' and maybe felt a little pressured to bung another one in the package for good measure, especially when you see pics of people getting 6 - 7 or more smokes in one hit! If I sent bombs from my relatively small collection that were the size of some of these you see, all of the time, I would have no smokes left very quickly! It has to be down to you the individual and what you are comfortably able to send. Although I said above about having the thought in the back of my mind about being thought of as a 'tight git', I really don't think that anyone receiving a nice beautiful cigar as a present or surprise in the post would think of you as a tight git! I know I certainly wouldn't!
