Sorry, forgot to post in here. I smoked mine last weekend.
Initially, the first half inch or so was slightly bitter but soon settled down and mellowed out to a fresh meadow sort of taste.
There was the occasional touch of spice, but the woody taste remained fairly consistent throughout. On the whole, I found
the smoke to be fairly mild until the last couple of inches where it started to build a little in strength. I will take a guess at
a Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Especial.

Smoked the first of my two today, nice smoke full of flavour and quite complex. Predominantly wood/leather but with lots of nuances that I couldn't quite put my finger on before they changed, great development and I think with a couple more years to bring out a bit more subtlety these could special. The draw was on the tighter side of just right but it didn't want to burn evenly and tunnelled a bit in the first third before improving in the second half. I'm not sure what it is, I think I'll smoke my second before taking a stab. Overall it was really nice smoke, cheers [MENTION=13452894]Decky[/MENTION]

No worries [MENTION=13452894]Decky[/MENTION]! I would never have guessed it as it's not a cigar I'm familiar with and on the plus side if I get to smoke it whilst abroad this week, and like it, then I can grab a couple more.

Out of interest how many years did it have on it? It's the first time I've smoked one and enjoyed it, it seemed to me like a smoke that had legs so it would be interesting to know peoples experience with age on these.

Having checked back it was only 2013, feels like longer ago! It was from one of the boxes with the typo of Connoisseur.

Great choice, really enjoyed it and have one left. Upmanns seem to be my taste, haven't had one yet that I didn't enjoy.

I've not had a chance to smoke mine yet. Not tried these before though. Look forward to finding time.
