Wow great bombing there... Whats the jist of the book then?

It's a bit of an Orwellian take on some sci-fi themes: an incredibly famous man wakes up one day to find out he has no identity. Since he lives in an extreme police state, his lack of identity puts him immediately on the run, and he attempts, essentially, to find out how he lost his self and, ultimately, who he is. Crackin' good read, it is.
